About Samurai School

Empowerment. Health. Jiu Jitsu.

Samurai School is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization for youth empowerment. We use the therapeutic benefits of training Jiu Jitsu to help guide young people’s characters in a positive direction. We also make training more accessible to at-risk youth by running free after-school Jiu Jitsu clubs on public campuses across Austin. Additionally we offer free or financially assisted training at Ronny Lis Jiu Jitsu and MMA every Saturday.

Kids Need Jiu Jitsu.

Our organization is about preserving the most valuable resource on the planet, our youth. Our goal is to empower students by teaching them Jiu Jitsu, instilling confidence and a helping them to develop positive attitudes and principles they can use for the rest of their lives. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 27.9% of public middle schools in the U.S. had reports of student bullying at least once per week during the 2017-2018 school year. (See more related data on our website: www.samuraischool.net)

Help Us Help Them.

Our coaches come from a pool of highly trained Jiu Jitsu practitioners from Ronny Lis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. They must have at least 3 years of consistent training and competition experience but often have as much as 20 years experience teaching and training Jiu Jitsu.
